Michael Godnick, principal of Michael Godnick & Associates, has worked more than 27 years as a development and marketing professional in the nonprofit sector.  Michael possesses a strong commitment to advancing the fundraising profession.  He is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and has served on the Chicago Chapter’s Board of Directors since 1997.  In 2000, Michael received the President’s Award from AFP for distinguished service and dedication to the fundraising profession. 

Michael is a frequent guest teacher and lecturer for a number of organizations and educational institutions including the City of Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs, League of Chicago Theatres, School of the Art Institute and Roosevelt University.  He served on the Advisory Board for the “Philanthropy in the Not-for-Profit Sector” Certificate Program at Northwestern University and is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Association of Nonprofit Organizations and Whirlwind, a nationally recognized innovator of arts-in-education programs for at-risk children.
